About the Subscriber Picks Series
Every month we conduct a poll with our subscribers to select the top 3 beers from our Judges’ Club Monhtly Beer Selection. This is an ongoing series with the intent of giving our subscribers some say in what they want to see in our future boxes. Plus, it’s a fun way to pick up on trends and preferences!
The poll is sent via email to all our subscribers. February Results
February’s number 1 pick was Bach Brewing’s Cryo Genius. This is a refreshing balanced hazy using cryo-hop techniques that result in ultra-concentrated hop oils, which in turn results in potent aromas and flavours.
In second place we’ve got B.Effect’s Cerveza. The Mexican lager style is becoming more and more popular, with Sunshine, Emerson’s, Saint Leonard’s and other NZ breweries all brewing their own versions of this corny, refreshing lager. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues, but right now it seems like the beer world is discovering the Latin American scene and I’m here for it!
Coming in third place – Te Aro Brewery’s Weasel Juice. We’ve featured Te Aro in our February Beer Spotlight and it looks like our subscribers have elected their WCIPA as one of the top picks for this box. It’s nice to see WCIPAs and Hazies coexisting as they each find their own niche.
Our Feb Boxes are all gone now, but the March selection starts shipping from Monday! We’ve also got a couple of pre-order boxes, including a Marchfest festival exclusive and our Fresh Hop 2025 box, featuring brews from this year’s hop harvest.
